Person of the year History
REWOCA honors one of its members each year for that person's outstanding contributions to the group and the sport of wrestling. This person is nominated by their peers and is the highest honor REWOCA can bestow on its members. The Person of the Year is given a plaque and they are added to the perpetual trophy. Nominations are generally made at the spring meeting but a gladly accepted year round. Please send in your nomination below with a summary of the achievements and contributions of your nominee.

Special thanks and congratulations goes to Quintin Shawk for his 27 years of service to REWOCA and the California High School wrestling community. Referred to as Q by those closest to him, Q officiated the final match of his career at the 2016 Boys North Coast Section Finals. Those in attendance were his parents Doug and Judy, as well as his friends and colleagues from the wrestling community. His accolades include being selected to the CIF State Championships for 8 years and ranked as a top 10 official in California for 5 consecutive years. He will be transitioning into the officials coordinator position for the NCS, serving as the head official and evaluator for the North Coast Section Finals.
